         █▓     The Icelandic group Mezzoforte was founded in 1977     ▓█
         █▓     by Eythor Gunnarsson, Fridrik Karlsson, Johann         ▓█
         █▓     Asmundsson and Gulli Briem, at the age of 15-17.       ▓█
         █▓     At first they played music by artists like Weather     ▓█
         █▓     Report, Al DiMeola, Chick Corea, George Duke and       ▓█
         █▓     Earth, Wind & Fire. When offered a recording           ▓█
         █▓     contract with Steinar Records they had started to      ▓█
         █▓     write their own material, and the first album,         ▓█
         █▓     Mezzoforte, was released in 1979.                      ▓█
