Release Notes :
story02 brings you more tales from the deepside that have no author attached to
them and rather sound like deephouse traditionals secretly and orally passed
down from one wise deephouse initiate to the next. free from superficial glitzy
effects, showy noodling or even the slightest nod to the latest fad in clubland
every single one of these 3 tracks is like a condensed version of what deephouse
is about and revokes mystic memories of nights in dark, bassridden basements.
"deepcut59" is a manifest not for minimalism but simplicity where only the slow
swelling of a chord can make you burst with joy and just the addition of a
hi-hat will stir you into action with new vigor. "on the way back" over on the
b-side features a relentlessly pushing, driving rhythm with abstract, piercing
piano chords scattered all over while the title of the closing "rhodes on drums"
says it all: sweet wailing, rhodes musings on "love and happiness" for those
blue hours in the morning. This story is an epic!
