yes, it is unbelievably pretentious to name one's nu-jazz outfit
"art ensemble" (supposedly as in art ensemble of chicago) and yes,
most of the current electronic & jazzy impersonators are sometimes
a tad overblown. this being said, art ensemble's breakbeat is far
better than average and were it not for their sometimes annoying
choice of tawdry arty jazz clichΘs garance.mΘlodie... could have
been a classic.
