running a label certainly doesn't necessarily lead to more time in
the studio. this is what happened to the "einzelgΣnger" (german
for "maverick"), the child of spectrum works' head-honchos kabuki,
lars v. and mainframe. originally conceived as a d&b-outfit in
1997 wich released on "straight" d&b-labels, the stagnating sound
of d&b in 1998 made "einzelgΣnger" take the next step,
transporting their techniques to other tempi than 170. so far only
one 12" was released on spectrum works, with more productions
coming up for our "spectrum workers"-series.
