Release Notes:
This indie quintet from Helmsley have finally finished their upcoming
second album and their new single Say You Don't Want It is due for
release on August 16th.
Hoping to better their previous work, the band has matured yet managed
to keep their thrashing, electrified indie rock which gained them fans
in the first place. Say You Don't Want It is immediately memorable.
It's bursting with energy, with a big hooking chorus and educational
lyrics formed around the highs, the lows and the effects of the much
desired famous lifestyle.
George Craig, who has achieved a remarkable amount of things for a
twenty year old (including Burberry campaigns and a place in GQs best
dressed men ratings under his belt) has polished his vocals, ditched
the young nerves in live performances and he's out to prove he's one of
Britains best - a point well made.
The boys have already played at Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury, T in the
Park and several of their own headlining tours and with George Craig
only turning twenty this month, it's an amazing achievement for a band
so young. Their singles Just For Tonight and It's About Time, from
debut album Started a Fire, did well for a band who were relatively
small. With Emma Watson landing a major role in their video for this
single, it's a tactic that will strengthen their attempts of
acknowledgment. Say You Don't Want It is a sign of good things to come
- it's a hook-ridden, brilliant, indie rock.
Formed in 2003, North Yorkshire's finest are back and the release of
their new album is much anticipated. They're finally getting the
recognition they deserve and as the band themselves would say, it's
about time.
