██▌▄▀█ school years in Los Angeles, and has been living ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Portland, Oregon for the past 5 years. Magneto ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ started djing in 1992, playing hip-hop and "rave" ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ techno mixes, now known as oldskool jungle. After a ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ brief interest in the hardcore scene he quickly ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ turned to jungle and devoted himself to hardstep and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ragga. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Early musical influences included hearing reaggae and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ hip-hop with "tekno", a whole new kind of music ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ (jungle.) He credits early influences, all the djs he ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ saw while party'n in LA such as RAW's 1993 ragga set ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ at Grape Ape 3 in L.A., Curious, Heretic and Josh ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Swissman's sets at the Goldie/Doc Scott show at the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Glass house in Pomona. Even the Reggae sunsplash at ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ the Greek amphitheatre that same year, and the World ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Clash soundclash tapes made a mark on his musical ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ future. Hearing KRS1 with Shaba Ranks, Rodney O and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Joe Cooley, NWA, Pete Rock and Gangstarr gave him a ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ foundation of what good hip-hop was supposed to be. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ All which have also made him a crate digger, finding ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ out about breaks, looking for them and mixing them. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Another early and continuing influence are his group ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ of high school friends, who went on to become the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ hip-hop crew Innernational (out of L.A.) Dj's Day and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Rip-one were his turtnablist yodas, exposing him to ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ the world of tuntablism. Since then heÆs attended and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ watched dj battles, showcases and in the summer of ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ 2000 Scratchcon. These influences can be seen in ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ everything he spins. He's hype over scratching and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ juggling, and in essence creating a whole other ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ track, like live remixing. It wasnÆt until '96 that ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ he started performing in the turntablist style, at ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ which point he felt that his DJ dues had been paid. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Magneto has played alongside such heavies as RAW, ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ CRS?, Machete, Craze, Heretic, Diesel Boy, UFO!, ░██▌▄▀
