Singh Kaur joined 3HO (the Happy Healthy Holy
Organization) in the 1970`s and spent many years singing
and performing with The Khalsa String Band. Peace Lagoon
was her debut solo album recorded in a trailer during the
summer of 1979 in Espanola, NM near Women`s Training
Camp.
Peace Lagoon is the name of a Sikh prayer (Sukhmani
Sahib). This prayer was translated into English and
published, along with other translated Sikh scripture, in
a book entitled Peace Lagoon. Sukhmani Sahib is one of
the most popular and oft-recited prayers among the Sikhs,
and it is believed that the recitation of it, in English,
will bring peace to anyone.
Peace Lgoon rests in our hearts as a prayer eternal, that
the Earth and its souls might arrive at that place of
"harmony and understanding, sympathy and love
abounding...this is the Age of Aquarius." - Wahe Guru
