Release Notes:
Debut full-length CD from GALLOWS END, a traditional heavy metal band out of
Arvika, Sweden. Features the acclaimed ôKingdom of the Damnedö and ôThe Unborn
Flagö as well as the Maiden-esque ôRiders of the North.ö
GALLOWS END plays fast, aggressive, melodic metal in the tradition of Judas
Priest, Accept and Iron Maiden, but brings it into the modern times with
influence from bands like Sinergy and Gamma Ray. Originally conceived as a
one-man project of multi-talented frontman Thord Klarstr÷m, GALLOWS END has
grown to a full four-piece lineup. After releasing an attention-getting 3-song
demo in 2007 that garnered critical and fan praise, work began on a full-length
CD. The promise hinted at in the demo recordings comes to fruition on NEMESIS
DIVINE û guitar-centered and laden with catchy riffs and melodies, the lyrics
run from the haunting title track to the rousing ôNot Your Ownö to the
infectious ôSoul Collector.ö
With clean, but gritty and powerful vocals, well-placed harmonies, talented
instrumentation and songwriting, and strong production values, NEMESIS DIVINE is
what a metal album should be û 59 minutes of bone-crushing, head-banging,
neck-snapping, face-melting metal fun
