           █▒ 1960s and this CD reissue (which adds "Three        ▒█
           █▒ Wishes" to the original five-song program) finds    ▒█
           █▒ him stretching the limits of hard bop. With the     ▒█
           █▒ assistance of four other young forward-thinking     ▒█
           █▒ musicians (tenor saxophonist Wayne Shorter, pianist ▒█
           █▒ Herbie Hancock, bassist Butch Warren and drummer    ▒█
           █▒ Billy Higgins), Byrd plays some of his more         ▒█
           █▒ adventurous originals. Highpoints include           ▒█
           █▒ "Pentecostal Feeling," Hancock's ballad "Night      ▒█
           █▒ Flower" and the unpredictable "Free Form."          ▒█
