HolyF*ck represent the friendly face of noise rock, shaping a few loose
synth patterns and a torrential blast of drum racketeering into a
protracted sacrelicious crescendo. I find myself getting them mixed up
with Fuck Buttons, and in truth there might well be cause for some
comparison musically as well as in name. These guys are all about those
huge drums though, making things that little but more digestible. You
might say Holy Fuck are the sweary, melodic noise group the NME tell you
it's ok to like. Remixes come from a galaxy of stars: Minotaur Shock
delivers a disco-tinged folktronica reworking of the orginal while Riton
goes all electroid, divorcing the song from its live instrument feel
altogether, only for the excellent No Age to make a right old mess
producing an all too brief deranged dub style space echo edit. 'Super
Inuit' appears here as an alternate version to the one featured on the
band's album.
