| CHEAP ELECTRIC PARADISE is a compilation of lo-fi analog space |
| tunes. It includes a mysterious one-night-stand "Gas & Youstein" |
| project(United Nations) as well as Zodiac- an elaborate |
| electronic funk from vvcabehind the "iron curtain"(Latvia). |
| Aavikko-a tundra lounge from below the Arctic circle (Finland), |
| OMFO-king of utopia himself (Solaris favorit) and finally a mad |
| scientist and bubbelgum-pop-pervert Felix Kubin (Germany). |

| Featuring Felix Kubin, G Popou and more, this is a 6 track |
| sampler from Solaris records offering some lush and quirky music |
| all the way from Khazakstan. The opener from G Popou is the |
| lushest : 'Elektrischer Generator' has gentle string pads |
| floating behind a mid tempo sparse beat, while a sampled vocoder |
| repeating the title is sequenced over the top. Also worth a check |
| is the vibes ridden 'Pacific' by J Lusens that ambles along |
| nicely and is a gentle listen along with the first track. Flip |
| over for a bit of 8 bit quirkyness from Felix Kubin that lifts |
| the atmosphere for a bit of kitsch / exotica and switches the |
| vibe to a bit of fun. Borat eat yr heart out. |
