▓ Thomas is central to the story of Stax Records. ▓
▓ Duetting with daughter Carla, he provided the ▓
▓ fledging label with it's first regional hit in 1960 ▓
▓ with "Cause I Love You". In 1963 and 1964 he scaled ▓
▓ the charts a number of times with a series of "dog" ▓
▓ records, the most popular being the often covered ▓
▓ "Walking the Dog". But, it was not until the early ▓
▓ 1970's that Rufus would reach the apex of his career ▓
▓ with some of his finest and funkiest records Stax ▓
▓ ever issued. This collection is comprised of the ▓
▓ A-Side (and some B-Sides) of every Rufus Thomas ▓
▓ single issued on Stax from May 1968 through 1975 ▓
▓ during what is often referred to as the ▓
