Culprit 1Æs debut album æRunning in OrderÆ (Exceptional Records 2007)
was an ambitious opening statement. The LPÆs orchestral closer æStrings
OutroÆ proved extremely popular and was picked up by Classic FM,
countless chillout compilations and the Southbank CentreÆs æWalking in
my MindÆ exhibition of ten international artists.
Since then, Culprit 1 has been working on follow-up album æTheme 2Æ,
due for release November 15 with first single æScreamerÆ released in
January. He has enlisted a talented array of co-conspirators such as
spoken word legend Polarbear, BBC 1Xtra favourite Smiler and unique
vocalist Iko to help him further an eclectic approach fuelled and
inspired by a myriad of musical influences. On completion of the new
record, Culprit 1 remixed the BBC National Orchestra of WalesÆ
recording of æBlue Letters from TanganyikaÆ by composer John Hardy, due
for release in 2010 on the Ffin label.
