years. Slip 'n' Slide are proud to be releasing Afrique C'est Chic -
a collection of the finest Afro-House sounds around at the moment.
All of the tracks featured on this album are from African artists or
have been heavily influenced by African musicians.
Blaze bookend this compilation with their 'Jump For Love' and
'Spiritually Speaking' tracks - both favourites with DJs and the more
discerning clubbers worldwide. Dennis Ferrer crops up twice with his
'Funu' offering and sublime remix of Bongo Maffin's 'Mari Ye Phe
Pha'. Kerri Chandler's storming 'Coro' conjures images of sweaty and
dark Soweto dancefloors while Chi Chi Peralta's perennially upbeat
'Un Dia Mas' wears its Latino influences proudly on its sleeve. There
are two exclusive offerings from Kickin Music - firstly the
overwhelming 'Children Of Africa' by Djaimin and the Oule Oule Family
and Spy From Cairo's 'More'. The album has been compiled in-house by
the Kickin Music team and mixed by Steve Jones. The exclusive artwork
comes from the same people responsible for many of the recent
releases on the Strut label.
