│ New Yorker Marcus Hunter and Brazilian born Stray Casa, are ││
│ a production duo who grew up together in New York but ││
│ recently moved and now live, produce in London. Introduced ││
│ to Estereo by the ever elusive Marlo. Their sound is a ││
│ fusion of tuff NY style loops and beats crossed with a scent ││
│ of filtered UK tech house. They produce dance floor friendly ││
│ trax that concentrate on the moment and are sonically ││
│ sculpted to be dropped in a club. 'It's Hot' is no exception ││
│ with a sand filled sock of a kick drum, the track starts as ││
│ it means to go on, rolling beats and bass make way for a ││
│ subtle smoke filled break down that gives way to a funk ││
│ keyboard riff and soaring strings, it is more than the sum ││
│ of its parts. Having experienced first hand the disco ││
│ explosion in Manhattan they were exposed to the Bruce Forest ││
│ school of production and display a 'practice what you ││
│ preach' style of working ie make it and play it. They rarely ││
│ DJ in the UK but are regulars on the European scene where ││
│ their brand of cool party productions and diverse sets are a ││
│ firm favourite in hotter climes. Late comers to the studio ││
│ but with a wealth of musical experience yet to be parted ││
│ with and a slew of releases on the way. Marcus and Stray's ││
│ modern and refreshingly simple sound make them a sure bet ││
│ for this summer. ││
