Midlake have been getting a lot of good press this year. Hailing from Denton,
TX, the group is a mix of psych rock and harmony rich 70's rock bands. Their
last album, "The Courage Of Others," really embraced the vocal sound of
California Rock and this EP keeps that rolling. You can laugh at it, or you
can just get caught up in the cool harmonies and flute backdrop. The "Fortune
EP" includes a new version of the Courage Track "Fortune" plus 5 live tracks.
These live versions are so solid its hard to tell that they were recorded
live. Great band worth checking out.
