│ Hiding behind the pseudonyms Eraser and Yojalka are two young machine │
│ wizards, Julius Lehmuskallio (Eraser) and Simo Ojala (Yojalka). On their │
│ first joint release they explore the limits of their PC's memory and the │
│ sound register of their synthesizers. Instead of a face off we can talk │
│ about an energy burst that is the result of a meeting of brilliant │
│ minds. A wild gallop in the uncharted territory of psychedelic gabber │
│ trance doesn't fail to affect the listener. │
│ │
│ Julius took his first steps on the path of music at the tender age of │
│ five, he played classical piano for 10 years. Then followed a shift │
│ towards boundless soundscapes as age and technical ability increased. │
│ The goa & psychedelic trance scene in Finland was also a source of │
│ inspiration. Eraser was signed "straight from the cellar" to the ground │
│ breaking Fusion vs Confusion (ExoCD 06) compilation in 1999. His track │
│ "Headache" got a lot of attention because of its raw power, for instance │
│ global Dj Goa Gil has been playing the track at the end of his 12 hour │
│ marathon sets. │
│ │
│ Simo started his musical career, also at the age of five, with playing │
│ the Cello. "I played the Cello until I got permission from my parents to │
│ stop" he says. He then exchanged the cello for an electric guitar while │
│ also singing in a punk band. As a result of a discreet electronic │
│ metamorphosis Yojalka released "Ranblax" on Surreal Audios "Beats and │
│ Beyond" compilation in 2000. Simo's cello has yet to appear on their │
│ live gigs, but we remain hopefull. │
