In The House Brazil '11, and features
mixes from Sandy Rivera and DJ Meme.
Rivera and Defected go way back; in
addition to a handful of singles over
the years, he's done two commercial
mixes for them before: 2001's Kings of
Tomorrow Sessions and 2003's In the
House. DJ Meme, on the other hand,
debuts on the classic UK label with
this release. As one of Brazil's most
popular house DJs, the Rio de Janeiro
native lends the compilation a bit of
regional authenticity. That said,
Rivera's sunny and upbeat style is no
doubt well-suited to the mix's
Brazilian theme as well. Both DJs stay
true to the mood of the series, mixing
up banging and pop-friendly tunes from
Quentin Harris, Tom Middleton and
Frankie Knuckles.
