I Was a KingÆs newest album Old Friends is a concept album, but not the
concept of trying a new style of music, but the metaphorical concept of old
friends and all that entails in getting to know those friends again. It is
exciting and great to be reminiscing about the past but it just isnÆt the
same anymore; the band even sings, ôWhen we met again as old friends,
catching up was hard to do. All those years made you a stranger; we were
innocent of the change to something new.
