▓ New York City, New York, USA. The daughter of ▓
▓ singer Bonnie Davis, the New York-based Moore ▓
▓ first attracted attention in the 1969 Broadway ▓
▓ production of Hair. Although she continued her ▓
▓ thespian inclinations, winning a Tony Award for ▓
▓ her performance in the musical Purlie, Moore ▓
▓ also forged a successful singing career. ▓
▓ "This Is It", a minor US hit, reached the UK ▓
▓ Top 10 in 1976, and although her pop chart placings ▓
▓ were inconsistent, she remained a fixture on the ▓
▓ R&B lists over the following decade. Her first ▓
▓ notable success of the 80s was in 1982 with the ▓
▓ US Top 5 R&B hit "Love's Comin' At Ya", which ▓
▓ also broke into the UK Top 20. Further hits ▓
▓ followed with "Livin' For Your Love", "Love The ▓
▓ One I'm With (A Lot Of Love)', and 1986"s ▓
