While Joker preps his major label assault, his Kapsize label offers crafty
cybeR'n'B Dubstep hybrids from Sweden's L-Wiz. Being the first Kapsize 12" to be
headed by someone who isn't Joker, they'd have to come with something special.
The dextrous downbeat swing of 'Straitjacket' is just that, a unique bassbin
grinder nudging the standard halfstep pattern with calculated precision and
draped in proper Eurogenous trance-toned synths. '4.42 Oz' is similarly sensual
and hanging on a down-stroked halfstep vibe, driven by intertwining bass melody
and saccharine-yet-elegant contrapuntal hi-end. DJ support from Plastician and
2562. Nice and greazy...
