Description: 
Single mum and life model Sarah strides into the Yorkshire 
village of Grassington, determined to win over the 
population by offering to auction herself for a date. This, 
it turns out, is not the best opening gambit in the world in 
Channel 4's win-a-cottage reality series. "Even the 
trollops in the village don't auction themselves for a date," 
says one lady as most of the female residents seem to 
decide that Sarah is out to pinch their husbands. Sarah is 
refreshingly realistic - "What's the worst that can happen? 
We don't win the cottage" - but she doesn't remain so 
pragmatic for long. Competing family Donna and Louise, who 
have been married for four years, also get a tough 
reception from some, who are scandalised by their plans 
to have a baby by IVF - on the NHS, too!
