Alala Records is Bobbito Garcia's new vinyl-only
label.

Yosaku is a California native DJ and Producer.
"Future Paradise" was his first release in 2006, a
scorching remix of Ray Barretto's cover of Stevie
Wonder's
"Pastime Paradise". The remix incorporated a large mix
of sounds from House, Latin/Brazilian, Funk, and
Broken Beat.
In so doing garnered praise from the worlds best DJ's
and producers (Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova, Kenny Dope,
Rich Medina,
Bugz In the Attic, Blaze, Spiritual South, and
Quantic).
Ever since Yosaku has not only been busy remixing the
Godfather of Soul, James Brown on G.A.M.M.,
flipping Brazilian digger classics for the Virtual
Brasil EP (Bstrd Boots),
and working with DJ Day on various dance floor
burners. Check out his full length compilation album
"Rehashed" on Milkdipper (Japan).

Yosaku's new single "Matembe" is a tight, uptempo,
drum driven Afro-Bruk-Latin party affair
with the one and only Bobbito on vocals! California to
New York... New York to Japan...
Japan to Latin America connection... guaranteed to set
the party off within the first few bars.

label.s
In 1997, the visionary DJ put out M.F. Doom's first
album Doomsday on his Fondle'Em indie hip hop imprint.
From 2001 to 2003, he expanded wonderfully to other
genres with Fruitmeat, licensing 7" and 12" releases
from eventual Grammy Award winners The Spanish Harlem
Orchestra.
Fruitmeat was also responsible for debuting Vinia
Mojica as a solo artist with her "Guilt Junkie"
single produced by Geology. The vocalist was reknowned
for her work with De La Soul, Common,
and Black Starr throughout the '90s.

In 2010, Bobbito returns to the vinyl market with
Alala Records. The first release,
"Malembe" by Yosaku feat. Bobbito on vocals, is a
limited edition 7" (500 copies only).
The second Alala banger will be a double-sided 7" by
Mark de Clive-Lowe,
who presents Lady Alma with "I Can't Help It" and
Rahel with "Hope."
