██▌▄▀█ Chicken Lips are part of a small group of highly ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ in-demand UK producers around at the moment thanks to ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ their twisted dub disco funk sound. This week on One ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ World they highlight their influences and DJ style ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ with a trawl through the late night Lips sound. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ album.s ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Chicken Lips are DJ/Producers Andy Meecham, Dean ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Meredith and new band member Steve Kotey brought in ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ to represent the Lips DJ sound on an international ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ scale and add his slick touch to studio proceedings. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Since they got together in 1999 Chicken Lips have ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ released two albums, 'Echoman' and 'Extended Play' as ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ well as numerous singles including the huge 'He Not ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ In' record which received across the board support ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ from the likes of Lottie, Groove Armada and Andrew ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Weatherall. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ They have remixed for a host of top name acts ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ including Underworld, Justin Robertson, Playgroup, ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Stereo MC's, Soul Mekanik and Maurice Fulton. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ They have just released their latest DJ mix album ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ through the !K7 label as part of their excellent DJ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Kicks series. The album is a slice of the music that ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ has inspired the Lips over the years and features ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ tracks by Herbert, Brainticket, Gwen Guthrie, Warp 9, ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ George Duke and a sprinkling of their own productions ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ including the exclusive 'Bad Skin'. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Chicken Lips have also just started their own club ░██▌▄▀
