Serious Skweee heat from Beatbully, setting off his debut LP on D°dpop. This is
easily one of the heaviest Skweee records we've ever clapped lugs upon, refining
the sound to a diamante-sharp refraction of R&B 8-Bit electronics and a killer
digidub flavour. In accordance with the Skweee manifesto, he uses the most
sparing amounts of synth and drum machine for maximum returns. Highlights have
to be the diet Junior Boys-alike 'Expecting Company' featuring Slow Hand Motem,
the hook laden 'RnBully', the Scando-pop-melodic '8-bits dr°m', or the Hype
Williams-esque 'Buddah nr.2', but everyone's going to have their own favourite
here, it's that kinda album. If you just thought Skweee was a little bit daft,
check this and you might be pleasantly surprised.
