Release Notes:
--------------
Synthpop lovers will maybe know Aidan Casserly as the singer of Empire
State Human, The Garland Cult or the less famous Figaro. This Irish
artist started with a solo project where he reveals a wider source of
inspiration digging much deeper than the fields of synthpop. So the
song 'Born To Be Bruised' features some guitar parts leading the song
to rock directions. Other songs like 'Torture Me' and 'Smoke Before The
Fire' come closer to piano bar music. Other cuts are more into some
ballad style. It's quite easy listening music, which is styled and
enjoyable although I'm missing a real climax here. The vocal
performance of Aidan Casserly is fully enjoyable and entertaining as
well. I don't want to compare him with another singer, but I can't get
away from the impression it all sounds a bit like Mika singing on
ballads. Aidan Casserly wanted to please himself and I guess that's
what all artists have to do. 'White Soul' resulted in an intimate opus,
which I can't consider as groundbreaking, but certainly personal.
