Subtitled, "27 songs of stage & screen," this British import
disc contains no information indicating the source of the
recordings. But from the evidence of the muddy mono sound, the
quality of Judy Garland's voice, and the bursts of applause
from what sounds like a small audience, at least the first
bunch of tracks almost certainly derive from soundtracks for
the TV series The Judy Garland Show, which ran during the 1963
-64 season. Elsewhere, the sound quality sometimes gets better
and the voice sounds much younger; these tracks seem to be
drawn from MGM soundtracks or Decca studio recordings. Many of
Garland's familiar songs are here ("Over The Rainbow," "The
Trolly Song," etc.), she is typically engaging, and the running
time of more than 76 minutes is generous.
