█ █ Setge is a band from Barcelona who released this album █ █
█ █ initially on their own in 2009. Through Xtreem Music they █ █
█ █ try to reach a wider audience. I think they have the best █ █
█ █ opportunities in their own country as they sing in their █ █
█ █ own tongue. IÆm not sure whether they sing in Spanish or █ █
█ █ Catalan as I only have the song titles. When they do sing █ █
█ █ in Spanish they probably could get a wider audience outside █ █
█ █ of their own country. Yet, since they use a grunt you wonÆt █ █
█ █ make much of the lyrics anyway so in the end thatÆs not █ █
█ █ really a problem at all. █ █
█ █ Hearing this album for the first time I wasnÆt convinced █ █
█ █ but when you hear this album more often you will notice █ █
█ █ that this band put some thought in this album. The guitar █ █
█ █ work is quite good for instance. Still I think the band █ █
█ █ plays it safe and æCecs De Rabia, Cecs De DolorÆ is a █ █
█ █ ômiddle of the roadö album. It misses tension and lacks █ █
█ █ balls. Death metal should sound a bit more dangerous. When █ █
█ █ I have to make comparisons I would think of a band like █ █
█ █ Death; the label also mentions Carcass and Amon Amarth but █ █
█ █ I donÆt hear those bands in SetgeÆs music. Production wise █ █
█ █ it could have been a bit fuller in sound and especially the █ █
█ █ drums irritate a bit. The vocals could have used a bit more █ █
█ █ variation but other than that this is a decent album that █ █
█ █ wonÆt stick out internationally IÆm afraid. █ █
