This German trio does U2-derived yet American-sounding, post-grunge,
alterna-pop . Typified by the proverbial angst-ridden vocals, catchy pop
melodies, funky bass grooves, and aggressive lead guitar, Myballoon doesn't
exactly present an original sound but they do incorporate the finest and most
distinct qualities of the modern rock-styled bands. Lead vocalist and
guitarist Tom Lⁿneburger wrote all of the lyrics (in English) with the trio
collaborating on the music. Joining Lⁿneburger was bassist Chris Clemens and
drummer Ben Sommerfeld. The band split up in 2006.
