Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is the name on the new
masterpiece from the Norwegian black metal band Dimmu
Borgir. There have been many line-up changes in the band
since the first release, but it still sound verry much Dimmu
Borgir and Norway on this album. The sound and the
production is better than ever, this time the Norwegian
kings of melodic black metal entered the Swedish studio,
"Studio Fredman", so the sound is different and better than
on previous releases. The 1997 release "Enthrone Darkness
Triumphant" is still my D.B favourite album, but this one is
not far beyound. "Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia" is more
brutal and aggressive than the previous albums, but it's
still verry melodic and varying. The music is awsome, the
reason may be because of the lineu-up, Nick Barker (ex.
Cradle Of Filth) behind the drums, Galder (Old Man's Child)
on guitars, Siemen (ex. Borknagar) are playing bass and his
also doing the "clean" vocals and the leadsinger, Shagrath
are better than ever. The album does also include parts of
the Gothenburg symphony orchestra, as intro and outro on the
album and it fit this album just perfect. There are also one
bonustrack on this album, a cover on the Twisted Sister song
"Burn In Hell", wich is a really good end on this awsome
piece of work ! You got to get this one, it's soooo damn
good !!!
